International Technical Conference and Exposition

GEAPS Exchange 2003 -- Top 10 Questions

1. When is the Exchange?
March 1-4, 2003

2. Where is it?
Convention Center, Columbus, Ohio

3. What is it?
The Exchange is both a technical conference and an exposition. The technical conference will include 20 or more educational sessions of interest to grain-operations professionals. The exposition is for companies in the grain industry - or suppliers to it -- to showcase their products and services. The Exchange in Columbus will be GEAPS' 74th annual program. In 2004, the Exchange will be in Minneapolis, Minn.; and the following year in Albuquerque, N.M.

4. What else happens at a GEAPS Exchange?
The program includes countless opportunities for networking and making connections with friends and peers in the industry. There are receptions and parties and there's music and fun. GEAPS also takes the opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of our volunteer leaders. One of the Exchange highlights is a banquet that honors them and other grain-industry leaders.

5. Who attends?
People involved in grain operations in North America and around the world, and those who provide products and services to the industry. Educators, government officials and students also take part. At Exchange 2000 in Kansas City, attendance reached 2,170.

6. Is the Exchange for GEAPS members only?
No, it is not. Anybody with an interest in grain operations could benefit, and all are welcome. The registration fee is less for members, however. To become a member, click here.

7. How much does it cost to attend an Exchange?
The registration fee varies, but the delegate basic package for members will cost $265 before Feb. 2 and $305 thereafter. A basic registration admits delegates to all educational sessions and the expo only. Fees for non-members are $145 more. "Complete" packages, which provide admission to all educational sessions and the expo, plus all general attendance meal and social functions, will also be offered for an additional fee.

8. How much is a GEAPS membership?
$130. Memberships provide registration discounts at the GEAPS Exchange and other GEAPS-related programs, discounts for our safety-training videos, a subscription to our newsletter, a directory of members and access to our members-only website - an archive of news and information about the grain-operations industry. For more information, click here.

9. When can I register for the Exchange?
We don't begin accepting registrations until late fall, when registration forms will be mailed to all members. Forms will also be available on this website, and at the Exchange site in Columbus.

10. How can my company exhibit at the Columbus Exchange?
Contact the GEAPS office (612-339-4625) immediately. Much of the booth space is already spoken for. However, there are some spots still left, and we will develop a waiting list in case of cancellations.
