Introducing You to GEAPS Chapters

What is a GEAPS Chapter?

A GEAPS chapter is a small, local group of GEAPS members that hold meetings anywhere from three to nine times a year to discuss various topics that affect the grain handling industry.

Why should I get involved in a GEAPS Chapter?
Chapter membership is another great benefit that GEAPS offers its members. With experienced speakers at nearly every meeting, chapter meetings provide excellent forums to become more educated on current issues and products relevant to the industry. Chapter meetings also provide members a great opportunity to network and make business contacts with other chapter members.

How do I become a member?
By becoming a member of GEAPS you can also become a member of a chapter. The GEAPS office will automatically place you in the chapter nearest to your location unless you note otherwise. If you decide you want to join a different chapter or if you have to relocate to a different area you can change your chapter affiliation by simply notifying the GEAPS office. There is no additional cost to belonging to a chapter.

Is there a GEAPS chapter near me?
Currently there are thirty GEAPS chapters across North America. To find the nearest chapter to you, click here to view a map with the locations of each GEAPS chapter.

There isn't currently a chapter near me. Can I start a new GEAPS chapter in my area?
Yes, you can. However, there are certain requirements that each new and current chapter must meet. To view the steps for chapter formation and the requirements that each chapter must meet, click here.

Who can I contact for specific information about my local chapter?
The best contacts for information about a specific chapter are the leaders of that chapter. Every GEAPS chapter has it's own leadership structure, which is usually comprised of a president, vice president, secretary and/or treasurer. These three or four volunteer leaders are the ones primarily responsible for organizing the chapter's meetings throughout the year.
