The Hilton Minneapolis will be the host hotel for GEAPS Exchange 2012. At an ideal location, the Hilton Minneapolis is connected to the Minneapolis Convention Center via skyway. As of mid-January, the room block for the Hilton Minneapolis is sold out. Contact the hotel only to see if any rooms have become available.

Transportation Information
Catch a Ride on the HAC Shuttles, Saturday, March 3
The 2012 Exchange Host Advisory Council is providing complimentary transportation services from Terminal 1 at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport to the Exchange Host hotels (Hilton Minneapolis and Millennium) on Saturday, March 3, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. for all delegates and guests. HAC representatives will be available in Terminal 1 baggage claim to help direct you. Watch for directional signage as you enter baggage claim and look for the people with blaze orange "Elmer Fudd" hats. These are your 2012 Host Advisory Council meeters and greeters.
The airport meet and greet and shuttle service is sponsored by the 2012 Host Advisory Council and Industrial Automation Engineering.
Other Options
Not able to take advantage of the HAC shuttle? There are a variety of ways to get from the airport terminals to downtown hotels near the convention center.
Hiawatha Light Rail
A great option is to hop on the Hiawatha Light Rail Line. Trains run every 10-15 minutes depending on the time of day and a ride from the airport to downtown will take about 25 minutes.
Tickets are sold at ticket machines at the rail stations. Attendees would most likely ride to the Nicollet Mall Station (5th Street and Nicollet) and take a "Free Ride Nicollet Mall Bus" to the stop nearest their hotel.

Taxi Service
Downtown Minneapolis is about 12 miles from the airport, with fares averaging $38-$49.
Hotel Shuttle
Check with your hotel to see if they offer complimentary or paid aiport shuttle service. (The hotels listed on page 16 do not have complimentary shuttles.)
