Distance Learning On Demand
Previously, anyone interested in taking a certain GEAPS/K-State distance-ed course had to wait until its scheduled date. Sometimes, that meant waiting a year or more. Now -- at least for companies or groups -- all courses will be available throughout the year. The change was made at the request of industry professionals who told us that, although our courses were great, they weren't offered often enough, or they didn't fit their schedules.
Here's how the new program will work: All GEAPS/K-State distance-ed courses will be available on demand to individual companies or groups, provided that the companies or groups:
- Register at least 10 people at regular rates, or
- Pay the registration fees equivalent to 10 people at regular rates, and
- Give us three weeks' notice to ensure that teaching support is available.
Because qualified teachers are involved in every GEAPS/K-State course, we can't offer courses on demand to individuals. However, we're now able to accommodate companies who want to offer the courses to groups of their employees -- precisely when it's most convenient for them.
