Membership Committee Meeting
Tuesday, July 12, 9 a.m.- noon
The GEAPS Membership Committee will meet on July 12, 2011, the first morning of the 2011 Leadership Conference. The committee, chaired by Bill Jefferson, Messick & Gray Inc, Mid-Atlantic Chapter, will meet to discuss the upcoming 2011-2012 member retention campaign, as well as results from the 2010 retention program. The annual member retention campaign is a collaborative effort between Membership Committee members and local leaders from across GEAPS' 29-chapter network. The retention program attempts to retain any members who have not renewed their memberships for the 2011-2012 timeframe. Chapter officers carry the bulk of the outreach by calling everyone in their chapter who did not renew their memberships, but the Membership Committee provides essential guidance and tools to these officers.
How the Member Retention Campaign works:
1. Each person on the Membership Committee is assigned to oversee the retention campaign at one or more chapters
2. Committee members call chapter presidents at their assigned chapters to introduce themselves and review the program
3. GEAPS sends each chapter president and vice president a list of non-renewed members in their chapter
4. Chapter officers call all non-renewed members
5. Membership Committee members follow up with their assigned chapters to ensure that the calls are made (This is a collaborative effort between the Membership Committee and chapters)
6. Chapter leaders send their results to the Membership Committee and committee members follow up as needed
