From April 10-12, 166 attendees descended on the Potawatomi Inn at Pokagon State Park near Angola, Ind., for the yearly Great Lakes Regional Conference. The conference was planned jointly by local chapters of GEAPS and the International Association of Operative Mills (IAOM).

Due to changing employment, Mike Myrick of GEAPS’ Hoosier Chapter has resigned his position as International Board chair. Following GEAPS leadership succession protocol, Tom Price, Board chair in 2007-08, will resume service, effective immediately.

OMAHA, NEB. – GEAPS honored 27 companies at Exchange 2008 for their outstanding safety records last year. The companies, representing 387 separate grain facilities, recorded nearly 13.1 million employee hours without a work-related lost-time injury or illness during 2007.
