Hands-On Training (HOT) Program Emphasizes Learning by Doing
Learn how to safely operate and maintain common grain conveying equipment through demonstrations, practice and immediate feedback in this new training program from GEAPS and Kansas State University.
Over the course of two and a half days, you will work directly on the following equipment:
- Bucket elevator
- Screw conveyors
- Bin sweep
- Chain conveyors
- Belt conveyors
Safety and lubrication are key components of the HOT Program. Before you start the training, you will complete three hour-long online modules on safety, lubrication and the development and implementation of comprehensive preventative maintenance programs.
This interactive training will take place at Kansas State University in the Hal Ross Flour Mill, Dec. 12-14, 2017. Registration is currently open for up to 30 participants. The course costs $1,375 for GEAPS members and $1,725 for non-members.
