2018 GEAPS Leadership, Education and Networking Workshop Lodging
The 2018 GEAPS Leadership Education and Networking Workshop, member meetings and lodging are all held at the downtown Saint Paul Hotel, at 350 Market St., St. Paul, MN 55102.
Hotel rooms will be available at the group rate of $142/night.

Transportation to the Hotel
There are several options for travelling to the Saint Paul Hotel. From the MSP airport, it is a quick 15-minute drive or taxi ride. There is also a bus, route 54, which travels straight from the airport to the hotel ($2.00-$2.50), in about 30 minutes. For detailed route information, check out the Metro Transit website.
If you are driving to the leadership workshop, the Saint Paul Hotel contracts parking at the Landmark Towers Parking Ramp, where you can park overnight for $17.00. For those not staying overnight, there are many options for day parking near the hotel, with reasonable prices. View nearby parking ramps.
Things to Do
The Saint Paul Hotel is in the heart of downtown Saint Paul, with so much to experience within walking distance! Besides restaurants and bars, there are many fun activities. The Mississippi River runs through downtown St. Paul and features many nice trails. We also have easy bike rentals.
Harriet Island Regional Park: Visit our own little island on the river, right in downtown St. Paul.
Being downtown you will also have access to several museums.
Mill City Museum: Note that this museum is in neighboring Minneapolis but warrants a mention given its relevancy to the industry.
If you are interested in history, there are several historic sites in or near downtown.
Alexander Ramsey House: The Victorian-era home of Minnesota’s first territorial governor.
Cathedral of Saint Paul: A century old, this cathedral has a 120 ft. diameter dome crown.
James J Hill House: The mansion of railroad magnate James J. Hill. You can tour this amazing house and learn about the history of the railroad in Saint Paul.
Landmark Center: Right across the park from the hotel, the Landmark Center was our original courthouse.
Minnesota State Capitol: One of the most beautiful capitol buildings in the nation! There are free, guided tours, including the rooftop with its incredible golden statue.
Wabasha Street Caves: Tour these “caves” (actually old mines) in Saint Paul and learn about their fascinating history, including a period where they operated as a speakeasy.
