Momentum in Texas at the TGFA Annual Convention 2026

GEAPS recently attended the Texas Grain and Feed Association’s 128th Annual Convention, connecting with industry professionals from across the Lone Star State. Held April 28–30 in San Marcos, Texas, the convention brought together industry leaders for networking, education, and a growing expo focused on collaboration and innovation.
With a booth on the expo floor, GEAPS Chief Executive Officer John Caupert was live onsite engaging with attendees in conversations around membership, training, and strengthening local connections—particularly efforts to expand engagement and build momentum within the Lonestar Chapter.
“The 128th Annual Texas Grain and Feed Association Convention has been an outstanding experience and a clear reminder of the potential in this region,” said Caupert. “Texas represents strong membership opportunities, and we’re excited to deepen engagement with grain and grain processing professionals here. We see real momentum in building a collaborative relationship between GEAPS and TGFA—one that strengthens connections, supports our members, and delivers value across the entire supply chain.”
GEAPS’ presence reflects a continued commitment to meeting industry professionals where they are, building partnerships, and supporting the evolving needs of the grain and grain processing industries through shared expertise and local engagement.
TGFA President & CEO Robert Braden was thrilled to report a record-breaking attendance record at this year’s event. With the state of Texas poised for significant growth in grain and grain processing, many attendees were highly-impressed by the eye-opening new technologies and efficiencies they didn’t know existed. With most Texas facilities built in the 1970s, upgrades are top-of-mind.
TGFA supports the businesses that anchor its regional agricultural economy, and GEAPS equips the people inside those businesses with the skills, training, and community they need to thrive. “When two organizations share the same heartbeat for this industry, collaboration isn’t something you have to force, it happens naturally, and it creates real value for the people we serve,” said Braden. “What we’re doing together is bigger than any single event or initiative. It’s about building a bridge between companies and the individuals who keep those companies running every day.”
Braden and Caupert are both proud of the strong collaborative efforts between TGFA and GEAPS, both noting that entire industries move forward when Member-Driven associations and Trade associations collaborate instead of compete. The pool is big, the water is warm, and there’s plenty of room for others to join in.
