Hands-On Training (HOT) Program Emphasizes Learning by Doing
All grain companies need trained and skilled operators and maintenance people. GEAPS and Kansas State University (K-State) have designed Hands-On Training (HOT) Program to train grain workers on real, operating grain conveying equipment.
Over the course of two and a half days, you will work directly on the following equipment:
- Bucket elevator
- Screw conveyors
- Bin sweep
- Chain conveyors
- Belt conveyors
Come Prepared With Pre-Training Modules
Safety and lubrication are key components of the HOT program. Before you start the training, you will complete three hour-long online modules on safety, lubrication and the development and implementation of comprehensive preventative maintenance programs.
