The Knowledge Resource for the World of Grain Handling and Processing Industry Operations

The International Board of Directors represents the interests of all members in evolving and advancing GEAPS’ strategic plan. The Board identifies and oversees the development and implementation of member programs and services that best serve GEAPS’ core purpose—providing forums that promote innovation and facilitate the exchange of ideas and information about grain industry operations safety, health, efficiency and environmental responsibility. GEAPS International bylaws define the Board structure. GEAPS International Officers are also on the Board.

The International Executive Committee is responsible for the development and oversight of GEAPS’ governance and operations policies. The committee also directs and oversees the development and allocation of governance, financial, volunteer workforce, operations management, support resources and services to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the Strategic Plan as developed by the International Board of Directors.

Marcus Neal

Mr. Neal is director of facility operations for Lansing Trade Group, Overland Park, Kansas. Marcus was elected in 2012 as an International Board director and in 2014 as second vice president in succession to the office of 2016-17 president. As International Board chair, Marcus leads GEAPS’ strategic plan review, development and implementation oversight. He also chairs the Marketing Oversight Committee and the Nominations Committee for the International Board 2018 election, and serves as a member of the Executive Committee. Marcus also serves as the GEAPS representative to the KSU Grain Science & Industry Advisory Council, as a member of the Membership Committee and as first vice president of the Kansas City Chapter.

Barb Kraft

Greater Iowa Chapter

Ms. Kraft is the director of compensation and benefits for Landus Cooperative, Ames, Iowa. Barb was elected in 2012 as an International Board director and in 2015 as second vice president in succession to the office of 2017-18 president. As International president, Barb chairs the Executive Committee, which develops GEAPS’ governance and operations policies and oversees financial and operations management services. The president also serves as a member of the Marketing Oversight Committee and as an ex-officio member of all other International committees.

 

 

Robert Taylor

Minneapolis Chapter

Mr. Taylor is technology and training leader at Cargill Inc., Wayzata, Minnesota. Robert joined GEAPS in 1995 and was elected in 2016 as second vice president in succession to the office of 2018-19 president. As International first vice president, Robert serves as a member of the Executive and Marketing Oversight Committees.

Steve Myers

Mr. Myers is an elevator superintendent at Bunge Milling, Atchison, Kansas. He joined GEAPS in 2008 and was elected in  2017 as second vice president in succession to the office of 2019-20 president. As International second vice president, Steve serves as a member of the Executive Committee and as Sponsorship Campaign co-chair for Exchange 2018. Steve also serves as GEAPS representative to the NGFA Board, a member of the Membership Committee and as a director of the Kansas City Chapter.

Canadian Prairies Chapter

Mr. McKerchar is the regional construction coordinator-Saskatchewan at Parrish & Heimbecker Ltd, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He joined GEAPS in 2012 and was appointed in 2015 as International Third Vice President. For 2017-18, he also serves as a member of the Chapter Resource Committee.

David Krejci

Mr. Krejci was named GEAPS executive vice president and International secretary in 1987. David joined the GEAPS staff team in 1982 as director of technical services. As executive vice president, David is GEAPS’ chief staff officer and serves as a non-voting member of the International Board of Directors, Executive and Nominations Committees. David also serves as GEAPS staff executive representative and chair of the Kansas State University Grain Science and Industry Advisory Board. David is also the executive director of the GEAPS Foundation.

Mark Fedje

Mr. Fedje is operations manager Minneapolis elevators for General Mills Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined GEAPS in 1988. Mark was elected in 2007 as an International Board director and in 2009 as second vice president in succession to the office of 2011-12 president. As treasurer, Mark leads the International Board’s stewardship of GEAPS’ financial resources and Executive Committee development and oversight of funding strategies for member programs, services and general operations. Mark is also Board chair of the GEAPS Foundation and a member of the Marketing Oversight Committee. For 2017-2018, he also serves as a member of the Membership Committee.

Mr. Blair is the location manager at New Cooperative, Inc., Lohrville, Iowa. He has been a GEAPS member since 2000. Chris was elected in 2015 as an International Board director. For 2017-18, he also serves as chair of the Continuing Education Program Oversight Committee.

Mr. Scott Brittingham is grain manager at Mountaire Farms in Harrington, Delaware. He joined GEAPS in 2004 and has served in international and chapter leadership. Scott currently serves as treasurer of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter and was recognized as Chapter Member of Distinction in 2011 and 2014.

Mr. Elder is a grain elevator manager for Perdue AgriBusiness, Salisbury, Maryland. He has been a GEAPS member since 2008. Jacob was elected in 2013 as an International Board director. For 2017-18, he also serves as the International Board liaison to the Membership Committee and as the secretary of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

Ms. Grove is a quality systems manager at Farmway Cooperative Inc., Beloit, Kansas. She has been a GEAPS member since 2010 was elected in 2014 as an International Board director. For 2017-2018, she serves as the International Board liaison to the Exchange Educational Programming Committee. She also serves as past president of the Great Plains Chapter.

Mr. Philip Kelly is general superintendent at Louis Dreyfus Company in Port Allen, Louisiana. A GEAPS member since 1999, he has served in chapter leadership. He currently serves as past president of the Gulf South Chapter and was named GEAPS’ top recruiter for 2016 by recruiting 13 new members.

Ms. Lansink is director of sales for Comco, George, Iowa. She joined GEAPS in 2004 and was elected 2010 as an Associates Board director. As Associates Board vice president, Cheryl serves as a member of the Associates Board Director and Member Recognition Nominations Committee. The Associates Board vice president is one of three Associate member representatives to the GEAPS International Board of Directors and also serves as a member of the Marketing Oversight Committee. For 2017-18, she also serves as chair of the Membership Committee.

Mr. Marr is a facility manager for Michigan Agricultural Commodities in Breckenridge, Michigan. A GEAPS member since 1998, he was elected in 2013 as an International Board director. For 2017-18, he also serves interim vice chair of the Membership Committee.

Mr. McClure is the president of PMI Nebraska, LLC, Grand Island, Nebraska. He joined GEAPS in 1984 and was elected in 2011 as an Associates Board director. As Associates Board president, Colin chairs the Associates Board and membership meetings, serves as an ex-officio member of all Associate Board committees and as a GEAPS representative to the GEAPS Foundation Board of Directors. The Associates Board president is one of three Associate member representatives to the GEAPS International Board of Directors and serves as a member of the Executive and Marketing Oversight Committees.
