Elected by GEAPS members and guided by GEAPS bylaws, GEAPS International Board of Directors works to fulfill the mission of our organization while remaining true or its roots. The board works to advance the strategic plan, do today’s work and plan for the future of our organization.

The DeLong Co., Inc.
Cornbelt Chapter
Sean Farrell is the Project Manager for The DeLong Co, Inc. Farrell joined The DeLong Co, Inc in 2014, after spending the first part of his career at another commercial grain elevator. He is responsible for the development of capital projects, including greenfield projects and facility expansions, for the export and grain divisions of the company. He also serves on The DeLong Co, Inc safety board and manages the company’s CMMS software for maintenance and safety. He holds a B.S. in agribusiness economics from Southern IL University-Carbondale and a master’s degree in project management from Keller Business School.

Michigan Agricultural Commodities (MAC)
Michigan/South Ontario Chapter
Adam Geers is the Vice president of Operations for Michigan Agricultural Commodities (MAC) which is the largest grain handler in Michigan. Adam has spent his entire professional career working for MAC, which was founded by his grandfather in 1976. Adam began working for MAC as an intern in 2003 and has served in several roles during his career, including Grain Operations, Merchandising and Facility Management. In his current leadership role, he strives to maintain the family environment and values that the company was founded on.

Iowa State University
Greater Iowa Chapter
Charlie Hurburgh is professor of ag and biosystems engineering with Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He has been a GEAPS member since 1983 and was elected in 2022 as a board director.

Ag Processing Inc
Greater Iowa Chapter
Danny Lien started his career in soybean processing in early 2007. He is the plant manager at Ag Processing Inc in Eagle Grove, IA. He has been a member of IOMSA since 2017 and an NFPA 36 Technical Committee member since 2017. Lien has worked for three different grain processing companies and understands how grain processing is done in different climates.

Cadrien Livingston is a regional safety manager for Viterra. She manages 20 locations for safety support in her Midwest region. Before joining Viterra, Livingston worked as a risk control consultant for an insurance brokerage. There, she had more than 100 clients, half in the agricultural industry. She has a personal story tying her to safety in the grain industry and appreciates that she can work with hard-working individuals who put their lives at risk every day to work in an industry that ranks among the most hazardous.

Electro-Sensors, Inc
Minneapolis Chapter
Bob has been an active member of GEAPS for over 20 years and has dedicated more than 25 years to the grain industry. Throughout his career, he has served as an Applications Engineer, Sales Manager and President of manufacturing companies specializing in hazard monitoring technologies and safety educational services for the grain, feed and milling industries. Passionate about promoting safer operations and industry education, Bob actively promotes GEAPS membership and advocates for greater awareness of hazard monitoring technology to enhance workplace safety in the grain industry.

Hi Tech Installations, Ltd
Canadian Prairies Chapter
Ruchi Ryley has close to 25 years’ experience in North American Grain Industry. She is vice-president, Sales & Strategy, Hi Tech Installations; Vice-President Canadian Prairies Chapter; Member Chapter Resource and GEAPS’ Membership Committees. Ruchi worked over 20 years in Canada and US within OHS, sits on CSA committee, has lived on 3 continents, and travelled over 20 countries.

The Andersons, Inc.
Michigan / Southern Ontario Chapter
Scott Steinke is director of operations for The Andersons, Inc. Trade and Processing Group. In his role he is responsible for developing and implementing operations strategy for The Andersons grain elevators, including safety policies, labor plans, capital spending and employee development. He has been with The Andersons for 13 years, where he has spent various roles in engineering and operations leadership. A native of Southeast Michigan, Scott has spent time working for The Andersons in Wisconsin and Iowa, before moving back to Michigan where he works out of the Andersons Corporate Office in Maumee, Ohio. Prior to joining The Andersons, Scott spent 10 years working as a manufacturing engineer for Johnson Controls.
